Missing SONAME bump in ImageMagick libs

Hi!

We have received a bug report (http://bugs.debian.org/564123) about missing symbols in ImageMagick libraries.
It seems that a SONAME bump is necessary (to version 3.0.0).

Thank you!

ImageMagick fails to build in GNU/HURD (patch available)

Hi!

We have received a bug report (http://bugs.debian.org/551017) about ImageMagick failing to build in GNU/HURD due to absence of PATH_MAX.
A proposed patch (by Pino Toscano <pino@kde.org>) can be seen here.

Could you take a look at it and merge it, if possible, please?

Thank you!

Re: 2 of 47 tests failed

Indeed it's a problem in TIFF (and that has a fix in version 3.9.1): http://bugzilla.maptools.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2088

Re: 2 of 47 tests failed

Tested with TIFF 4.0.0 beta 3 and it failed on one test. test-suite.log is this: ========================================= ImageMagick 6.5.5: ./test-suite.log ========================================= 1 of 47 tests failed. .. contents:: :depth: 2 FAIL: Magick++/tests/coderInfo.sh (exit: 1) =========...

2 of 47 tests failed

Hi!

While building ImageMagick 6.5.5-3, two tests failed.
See test-suite.log at http://people.debian.org/~naoliv/misc/i ... -suite.log

Can it be caused by a recent version of libtiff?
We are using libtiff 3.9.0

Thank you.

Patch to fix some typos

Hi!

Please, apply this patch http://people.debian.org/~naoliv/misc/i ... -patch.txt that fixes some mispelled words in ImageMagick.

Also, www/histogram.html is a 0 byte file.

Thank you.

Re: PS to GIF conversion producing poor results

Hi!

From another user:
Please consider that adding -flatten parameter is not a solution for all
purposes, because transparency is often needed in output images.

Re: mogrify doesn't detect image format

Indeed.
Probably I did the test with an older version (thinking that was using the latest one).
Sorry for the noise and thank you!

Re: PS to GIF conversion producing poor results

With --flatten it did work as expected.
Will this behavior be changed or it will be necessary to always include --flatten, please?
