The MB Size of the Pictures ist 8MB and 450MB so the MB Size, seems to be not the reason.

I Updated to 6.6.5 Q16 and still got the same Problem.

Is there any limitation for the Size or Pixels?

Solaris 10.5 with ImageMagick 6.5.7 Q32 I was trying to convert a tif with 8000x9000 pixel, CMYK, LZW 1028 DPI to jpg and it runs into nothing When i set the pixels to 7000x7875 all works fine. Hallo guys, i got the follwoing problem. A Customer send me a PSD with Run Length Encoding and when i try to create a jpg for WEB it takes hourse or didn´t work at all. Ok i got it with a little cheating!

Copyed the needed files from usr/local/lib to a directory in IM. After that, link in startup that LBS dir and it works. Not a very clean way but it works!

i try top run ImageMagick 6.5.5-0 and 6.5.5-1 Q16 with windows but everytime i got the following Message

6.5.4-10 was running perfect!

Please consider that adding -flatten parameter is not a solution for all purposes, because transparency is often needed in output images. Well gif didn´t support Alpha Channels so if you got some and you want a gif you need flatten etc. Same problem also in other formats (jpeg, .....). Workaround: ...

You are using a Q8 = 8 Bit Color Version and you want to convert a 16 Bit Color File. Did you try to use a Q16 Verison?

Are there any channels in that tif. If yes try -flatten

If done the convert without any problems in the 6.5.4 with win and unix. If GS (8.64) works it can be done.
