Re: Make a color semi-transparent

What is your platform? I'll assume Windows BAT. If you use bash or Windows CMD, the syntax is different. I suggest you use "magick", not "composite". Then you can probably do what you want in a single command, something like: magick ^ ( image1.png -fuzz10%% -fill rgba(50%%,50%%,50%%,0.5) -opaque rgb...

Re: Urgent - please help!

You link to the input image 2vccfpe.png and show an output image 2m76lgw.png. They have the same background colour, and I see no reason why browsers should show them differently.

But the actual image you used may have a colour profile, and your image hosting service may have stripped that profile.

Re: Convert image change colorspace

The "convert" command needs an input file. The command you posted doesn't have one, so it cannot work. Your command has: -define jpeg:size=image.tif[0] But the documentation http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#define says "-define jpeg:size=" needs a pair of numbers like 128x1...

Re: Remove grey background and turn it transparent

The input is grayscale, with an offset, but those shouldn't create problems. Perhaps there is a recent bug in IM, possibly as part of "grayscale is a single channel" changes. Try "-colorspace sRGB" before "-transparent".

Re: Why does this generate an inverted image?

Your last line doesn't tell IM the input is CMYK, so IM assumes the channels are RGB. Try this instead:

Code: Select all

convert rose_c.tiff rose_m.tiff rose_y.tiff rose_k.tiff -set colorspace CMYK -combine rose.tiff

The colour RGB channels with no alpha:

Code: Select all

magick toes_holed.png -alpha off txt:
Just the alpha:

Code: Select all

magick toes_holed.png -alpha extract txt:

Re: Convert image change colorspace

Your command is very strange, and invalid, and IM can't process it.

Your input is CMYK. PNG can't record CMYK images, so IM converts it to sRGB. If you want to keep it as CMYK, use a different format, such as TIFF.

Re: From png to txt and then to tmx

TMX is not a format listed in "magick -list format".

Re: Remove grey background and turn it transparent

It works fine for me, with IM 7.0.7-28 on Windows 8.1:

Code: Select all

magick jnnbtpx.png -fuzz 50% -transparent #c0c0c0 x2.png
If you are using Windows, use double quotes not single quotes. If you use Windows BAT, double the percent sign: %%

I suggest you use "magick", not "magick convert".

Re: fails to correctly convert svg to jpg

Does the SVG show correctly with Inkscape? If it does, then ensure Inkscape is on your system path, and IM will use Inkscape.

If that doesn't help, put the SVG on the web somewhere, and paste a link here.

Re: How can I invert the colors of images in bulk?

What version of IM do you use?

Your question is vague. Perhaps you want to "-negate" the colour channels.

Code: Select all

magick in.png -channels RGB -negate +channels out.png
Does that do what you want? If it does, then put that in a shell "for" loop. Or use "magick mogrify".

Re: How to draw a long text to a image without wrapping it (using Imagick php)

What needs explaining? Create a new image for the text something like this: $textimage = new Imagick('label:This is a long text'); ... and if that image is wider than you need then resize it down, then composite that over your main image. I don't use PHP. Refer to documentation for the correct synta...

That is also my impression, but I would have to carefully read SVG documentation to be sure. So, yes, I think you have found a bug in v7, and my workaround shouldn't be needed.
