@pancakegh: Yes, it was fixed. It's been working for me since the above admin post. Currently I have version 6.9.0.4 on Linux.

Since recently mogrify doesn't overwrite the original file, but keeps it around by renaming it to "filename" appended with "~". There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off this feature. If I use mogrify, I am sure I want to overwrite the original and don't need it anymore, else I ...
