For a hald clut, you should use the "-hald-clut" operation, not "-clut". See http://www.imagemagick.org/script/comma ... #hald-clut

Gratitude

ImageMagick is not just a great tool for processing images. It also helped me to understand: the value of free software ("free" as in "freedom"), the value of the command line (thinking programmatically), and the nature of computerized images and image transforms. Thank you on all those fronts.
