Re: Pattern Shift

magick wrote:Yes, post a URL to your PDF. Its possible the problem is in your version of Ghostscript.
I need to upload the file somewhere. I don't have a server that is out side of a firewall.
I am using Ghostscript 9.01, which displays the image correctly.

Thank you for the suggestion. But it does not work for GIF, JPG and PNG.

Is it possible that something goes wrong with coordinates system of the pattern?

If need be, I can provide you with the PDF file.

Pattern Shift

Hi, I have a PDF file that has a red and white pattern. When the image is converted to any Raster format, the pattern shifts and is in a wrong place. The issue seems to be coming from the step of converting the Postscript file to Raster. In other words, Ghostscript seems to be able to convert the PD...

Re: PDF's Invisible Layers

your pdf apparently has transparency so IM displays that with a checkered background. flattening will take all layers and transparency and merge with some background color to make an image with one composite layer. Why checkered background? Ghostscript does not put a checkered background to the ima...

PDF's Invisible Layers

This is for ImageMagick 6.6.2. I have a Postscript file that is shown in Ghostscript 8.71 (gswin32) as having a white background, but in imdisplay it has a checkered background. Why? I believe that the way Ghostscript is showing the file is the correct one. The file was generated with the pdf2ps (Gh...

Re: Conversion PDF to PS

For me, "convert -colorspace cmyk B-Case.ai[0] B-Case.png" gives the same exact image as "convert -colorspace cmyk B-Case.ai B-Case.png". I'm using the current versions of ImageMagick and Ghostscript (IM 6.6.2-7 Q16, GS 8.71) - on Windows XP. What are your versions? I was using ...

Does anyone know why selecting the first page of the file (see above) will remove the colors from the PNG and leave it in gray-scale?

Re: Conversion PDF to PS

Ok, try this: convert -colorspace cmyk B-Case.ai B-Case.png With my two methods, or with magick's, I always get the correct result - for B-Case.ai and C-Case.ai. B-Case-300dpi.png C-Case-300dpi.png (This is with IM v6.6.2-5 Q16 and GS 8.71.) I can reproduce your result only by changing the density ...

We will be able to automatically detect the CMYK colorspace when we expand on support for the XMP profile in the future.
This suggestion works for B-Case.ai, but not for C-Case.ai. Do you know why?

Re: Conversion PDF to PS

[quote="Drarakel"]An alternative is to change the output device for Ghostscript. I don't know why pnmraw and pngalpha fail here, but with bmpsep8, it works - including antialiasing. This suggestion removes all colors from the result PNG file. Ghostscript is used here because ImageMagick do...

I have two examples:

ftp://ftp.ptc.com//users/anonymous/outgoing/B-Case.ai
ftp://ftp.ptc.com//users/anonymous/outgoing/C-Case.ai

The files will be there for three days.

Thanks.

Conversion PDF to PS

I have a PDF file with a pattern. When I use ImageMagick to convert the PDF file to PS, it adds a black border for each item of the pattern. When I use Ghostscript's pds2ps for the same task, I get a correct conversion. The file is available for upload. I have another PDF file with a pattern. It has...

Invallid Parameter - MB

Hi,

I have two TIF files that come from Photoshop. I get the following error with ImageMagick 6.5.3 when converting to PNG:

Invalid Parameter - MB

What is wrong with the file? Is there a way to send you these files?

Documentation for 'convert myfile.pdf[0]'

I have not found any documentation for the option to convert the one page of a PDF file by using [0] after the file name. Something like:

convert myfile.pdf[0] myfile.png

Can anyone point me where it is?
