Re: Montage and the crop the output in one command?

see https://imagemagick.org/script/porting.php#cli

Note for other tools such as montage, mogrify, identify, you do need to preface those with magick. Just not convert.

Re: Alpha channel gets removed from grayscale image with IM 7.x

First, In IM 7 use magick, not magick convert. Can you post your PSD file so that we can see it and investigate? What is your exact version of ImageMagick 7.x.x.x and date of version and platform?

Re: Montage and the crop the output in one command?

Pipe your montage output to a new magick command that will crop the result and make a new output.

Something like

Code: Select all

montage \
+frame \
+shadow \
-quality 100 \
-tile 5x3 \
-geometry 512x512+0+0 \
"$currentDir/tile_*.jpg" \
miff:- | magick - "$currentDir.jpg"

This is a guess at what you want. Background: http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/shadows3/barn.jpg Foreground: convert -size 300x100 xc:black -fill white -gravity center -pointsize 24 -annotate +0+0 "TESTING" infile.png http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/shadows3/infile.png Processing: magick ...

Re: Apply shadow to rectangle with alpha

Post your infile.png and outfile.png so we can help your compact your code. When I try your code with an arbitrary input, the output just has a black rectangle with a slight shading around it inside the original image. I do not understand your two images that you originally posted. Please clarify wh...

Re: Using Screen & Multiple with Inline images stopped working again.

I made a typo in my IM 7 command. Testing again in IM 6.9.10.27 and IM 7.0.8.27 Mac OSX Sierra, I get the same result, but neither match his previous output that he sent me. convert "inline:data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAKAAAADwCAYAAACHQW/aAAAHYUlEQVR4Xu3dwYuUdQDG8d9ulgYRUWEICUGHPFS3...

Re: How to extract ngon using commandline (magick.exe)

Use the equivalent of -draw "polygon ..." to create a mask and then use the mask to make the background transparent, then trim if desired to the bounding box of the polygon region. Sorry I do not code in Windows or C++.

Re: How do I Apply Multiple Screen and Multiply to one image?

I get a result for IM 6.9.10.27, though I cannot tell if correct or not since you did not produce a correct result for me to compare. With IM 7.0.8.27 or IM 7.0.8.28 beta, I get an error message (on Mac OSX Sierra) cannot execute: File name too long I do not know why the inline image name is too lon...

Re: Remove background using special markers

You mentioned putting dots on the image. That means you have manual interaction. Please clarify or show an example image. With 4 points, you can draw a polygon (quadrilateral) from the coordinates and then mask out the image. If the dots are uniquely colored, then one could extract, in principle, th...

Still not sure how to count unique colours, but XnView can do that.
That is what the histogram will do for you. See https://imagemagick.org/Usage/files/#histogram
