Re: Getting the color of a pixel

Nice. Note that you can also use hex:p{0,3769}], but you have to preface it with #. So it would be in Unix syntax magick KEWX_L2_VEL_colorized.gif -transparent " # %[ hex :p{0,3769}]" KEWX_L2_VEL_colorized.gif or I presume in Windows, this will work without the quotes, but someone should check that ...

Re: How to rotate pdf and undo rotating? Gives unexpected results.

This fails for me on IM 6.9.10.11 Q16 Mac OSX Sierra. The png files are wrong. convert crosses.pdf tmp.pdf convert tmp.pdf tmp.png But adding -strip works fine for me convert crosses.pdf -strip tmp.pdf convert tmp.pdf tmp.png This also works by adding +profile "*" convert crosses.pdf +profile "*" tm...

Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions, since syntax may differ. Also provide your exact command line and if possible your images. Re: Need Help on Feather effect

It would be in the blur. But Imagemagick does not use the same blur arguments as photoshop. So you will need adjustment the blur value where I have 7 to something that matches what you get from photoshop. My guess was 7 but 8 might be better. Since 8x3=24 is close to 25. Alternately, try this variat...

Re: imagemagick get stuck while converting a pdf to jpg

When I open the PDF in Adobe reader, it throws an error saying "the dimensions of this page are out of range page content might be truncated". Seems to me that this points to the PDF file. Post a link to it and the developers can check further. ___________________________ Please, always provide you...

I do not think that is true at least for Mac. But thanks, snibgo, for the correction for Windows.

Re: Uninstall Imagemagick from Source?

They are included with the binaries that the Imagemagick developers compile. But they do not have access to every vintage Linux, Windows has too many variations and for Mac, it only allows one version at a time. The Imagemagick developers have one or more computers of Linux, Windows and Mac, but the...

Re: Image Sizing on Screen

Depends upon what you consider reasonable quality. There are many filters that can be used with -resize or -distort resize for minimizing images and keep artifacts to a minimum. Re: How to stretch an image non-linearly in one dimension (à la Gopro Superview)

I have created a Unix Bash shell script to do this effect. It is called xpand. See my link below. It also includes and optional protect region whose scale will be preserved during the expansion process. The script implements this as a 1D (one-sided) fx expression according to the following format: I...

Re: Loop/Repeat/For in ImageMagick?

If you add -scene 1 and use %s rather than %p, then you won't need the extra dummy image at the beginning. For example convert lena.jpg barn.jpg monet2.jpg mandril3.jpg -scene 1 -gravity center -pointsize 18 -annotate +0+0 "Number %s" test.gif Starts with Number 1 rather than Number 0 in the output ...

Re: Convert PDF to TIFF large file size

From https://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#quality where it says: "For the MIFF and TIFF image formats, quality/10 is the Zip/BZip compression level, which is 0 (worst but fastest compression) to 9 (best but slowest). It has no effect on the image appearance, since the compress...
