Re: Montage: files with different dimension, but right proportions

... is there any way to force resize only for height ?
Yes, but that would distort your image.

Code: Select all

convert image -resize x1000! result
See ! at http://www.imagemagick.org/script/comma ... p#geometry

Re: Montage: files with different dimension, but right proportions

Images 1 and 2 do not have the same height, so +append will add white space to make them both the same height. Similarly for 3 and 4. Thus your images are not the right proportions to append the way you want. You may want to resize the image to have the same heights. With imagemagick 6, you will hav...

You could also use EXIFTOOL to write your meta data.

Re: Extract image from PSD file

I posted that solution in the other post of yours. See http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=33202#p152099 convert 44-2868_11.psd[0] -fuzz 10% -transparent "#4CDEFE" result.psd That is the only way to do it in ImageMagick, since your image has an "alpha" channel that is ful...

Re: Extract image from PSD file

That message is to be expected, since PNG does not allow a grayscale image to have an RGB colorspace. It is just a warning. Since your image has extra alpha channels, IM cannot see them and must do it vs color. If you have other PSD files with just one not fully opaque alpha channel, then IM should ...

Re: Extract image from PSD file

As was said before in the previous post, IM sees your PSD file as having a fully opaque alpha channel (alpha). It does not recognize the extra alpha 1 channel. So taking the first layer and processing it as follows, I can extract the alpha channel by making everything that is near the blue color tra...

FYI. Miff is an internal IM image format that people often use as intermediate image.

Re: Smoothly denoise an image of a scanned page

This is not nearly as good as snibgo's poisson noise removal, but try convert fragment.jpg -enhance -enhance -enhance -enhance -enhance -enhance -enhance -enhance -enhance -enhance result1.jpg http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/text_clean/result1.jpg or if on Unix-like system, try my textcleaner ...

Re: resize was successful but cannot decrease file size

You have a very large xmp profile in your image (Profile-xmp: 4081099 bytes). You also have increased the quality from 74 to 75, which is not likely a big deal. Try adding -strip to your command to remove the profile and other meta data. Or remove the xmp profile, via +profile "xmp". You also did no...

I do not use Magick.Net, so I will leave confirmation to him. But that is the way it is in the command line version of ImageMagick.

Re: Accessing raw image data

All colorspace use the same notation for the first few channels 0 for red, cyan, gray, intensity, luminance, etc. whether RGB, CMYK, YCbCr or LAB. You have to keep track of which colorspace you are working in.

Re: Alpha multiplying broken since upgrade to 7.x

I have already reported the bug.

Most Linux distros still come with IM 6 and very old versions at that. They are slow to upgrade. There are some difference between IM 6 and IM 7.
