Re: Adjusting 8bit to 'level' and compose properly into 16bit range

Still not sure how to count unique colours, but XnView can do that.
That is what the histogram will do for you. See https://imagemagick.org/Usage/files/#histogram

Re: Remove background using special markers

Measure the top left corner x,y and width and height of the region you want to keep and then use -crop WxH+X+Y +repage. See https://imagemagick.org/Usage/crop/#crop _____________________ Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions, since syntax may differ. Also provide ...

Re: Prevent Mogrify from exiting upon exception

I do not think you can prevent it from quitting with an exception. But to process mp4, I believe that you need to install ffmpeg as a delegate to Imageamgick. That might then be able to prevent that specific situation. You can also tell mogrify to process certain file types and that way keep it from...

Re: ImageMagick only reads 32b EXR alpha as 16 bit?

I believe that Imagemagick only handles currently 16-bit EXR files. I am not sure if it handles transparency or not.

Re: Dynamic removal of black background

For simple ones like the wing, just do CCL with a very small area threshold convert Wing_original.PNG -type bilevel \ -define connected-components:area-threshold=1 \ -define connected-components:mean-color=true \ -connected-components 4 \ Wing_original_proc.png What do you expect for result for http...

Re: How imagemagick support unicode character

See https://imagemagick.org/Usage/text/#unicode. Put your text into a UTF-8 compatible text file. Load the text file with the @textfile.txt notation as described in that link.

Re: CMYK Halftone Effect with empy dots

Here is perhaps a better one, by making the K channel all black. convert birdofparadise.gif \ -set option:distort:viewport '%wx%h+0+0' \ -colorspace CMYK -separate null: \ \( -size 3x3 xc: \( +clone -negate \) \ +append \( +clone -negate \) -append \) \ -virtual-pixel tile -filter gaussian \ \( +clo...

Re: CMYK Halftone Effect with empy dots

I thought my instructions above were pretty simple to follow. Nevertheless, here is the Unix to Windows syntax conversion. remove the \ from the \( ... \) change the end of line \ to ^ http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/cmyk_halftone/birdofparadise.gif Here is the Unix syntax: convert birdofparad...

Re: Dynamic removal of black background

I do not think I can help further. This is a very hard problem and your images are so noise. I do not understand where the green comes from. Is that from coloring the transparent regions?

I do not know if Imagick supports PANGO. I do not see it in their docs.

Re: How to annotate a text with emoji watermark on a image

I do not know, but doubt it. Even it possible, with pango, fonts must be included in the system and not just called by Imagemagick.

See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/528 ... 3#52863413. Also you may need to add the full path to Ghostscript in your delegates.xml file for all the PS encodes.
