Re: Option to not reduce/freeze Indexed Palette

The command to keep the color map does not seem to work. What version of ImageMagick are you using? It seems to have been implemented a long time ago, thought it could have been lost. However, I am not sure what it is supposed to do and under what conditions. From the changelog at https://legacy.im...

Re: crop image-lines (1px) from one image and montage/append them to new images

I am not sure I understand your problem. Perhaps a diagram might help. It would appear that one way or the other, you will have to load 2000 images into memory to do what you want efficiently. Nevertheless, rather than using magick montage, you can just use magick image0001.tif -crop 4000x1 ... to d...

It might help is you post and example PDF so we can see what you are up against. See my bash unix shell script, textcleaner and others at my link below. There is a Magick.NET version at https://github.com/dlemstra/FredsImageMagickScripts.NET

Re: Convert PDF to PNG fails with page number

Have you tried downgrading from GS 9.26 to 9.23 or 9.24. I have heard of issues with 9.26.

Re: Convert JPEG to TIFF 6.0 spec

ImageMagick relies upon libtiff to read and create tiff files. If libtiff does not support it, then ImageMagick will not. So check with the libtiff forums or documentation. I cannot say for sure, but ImageMagick has had trouble dealing with old style JPG compressed tiff files. So my guess is that li...

Re: Animated gif images onto static image; undesired results

If you are going to loop indefinitely, then you would be best with snibgo's suggestion of integer multiple of your frames such that they produce the same counts.

Also you may have trouble if the delays are not the same in the two animations. See my link above to Anthony's notes about merging

Re: User Input Batch Input to Output Conversion

If you are on IM 7, then the new syntax is just magick, not magick convert and not convert; otherwise you get IM 6 processing. For other tools such as identify, mogrify, montage, those must be prefaced with magick. _________________________ Please, always provide your IM version and platform when as...

Re: Paid: create artistic filters (i.e combination of convert commands)

Posterize should be easy to do, though may not reproduce his result exactly. Just blur your image and reduce colors by -colors or -posterize. The other seems doable, but not sure yet how to achieve it. It looks like it might involve thresholding each channel and then reducing colors, possibly with a...

see https://imagemagick.org/script/porting.php#cli

Note for other tools such as montage, mogrify, identify, you do need to preface those with magick. Just not convert.

Re: Alpha channel gets removed from grayscale image with IM 7.x

First, In IM 7 use magick, not magick convert. Can you post your PSD file so that we can see it and investigate? What is your exact version of ImageMagick 7.x.x.x and date of version and platform?

Re: Montage and the crop the output in one command?

Pipe your montage output to a new magick command that will crop the result and make a new output.

Something like

Code: Select all

montage \
+frame \
+shadow \
-quality 100 \
-tile 5x3 \
-geometry 512x512+0+0 \
"$currentDir/tile_*.jpg" \
miff:- | magick - "$currentDir.jpg"
