Re: 3 Implementations for Adaptive Gamma Correction

I have bash unix implementations of histogram based AGC (without weighting), AGCWD (with weighting), and an entropy method similar to AGC but substitutes the cumulative entropy for than cumulative pdf. They are all just in testing phases. They all seem to give similar results. But one or another met...

Re: Trim in all borders

Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions, since syntax may differ. Also provide your exact command line and your images, if possible. Note that this forum does not allow direct image upload. You will need to upload to some free image hosting service and put the URLs ...

Re: are there any dependencies with linux kernel?

Your version is over 600 versions old. You definitely need to upgrade. The current version is 6.9.10.14. Where did you even find such an old version of ImageMagick.

Re: "Insufficient image data" error with a couple of BMPs

I get the same message with IM 6.9.10.14 Q16 Mac OSX. I can open them with Mac Preview, GraphicConverter and Photoshop.

I even tried prefacing with BMP: BMP3: and BMP2:, but that did not work, either.

Re: Software Error

Transloadit is no longer the official site. Try http://www.imagemagick.org/MagickStudio But that seems to have problems also.

Re: I can't preview the image after I resize it

With ImageMagick 7 command line mode, you should use just "magick" and not "magick convert"

Re: How do I shift the hue of a black png?

What if the "black png" actually contains variations of blacks (#000000, #012103) and opacities (100%, 88%)?
You add -fuzz, which I believe is built into the opaquePaintImage()

Re: How do I shift the hue of a black png?

Use the equivalent of -fill ... -opaque convert partitor.png -fill "rgba(19,123,229,1)" -opaque "rgba(0,0,0,1)" result.png Note that you are changing opaque colors in a transparent image. So you need to specify the colors with alpha=1 for opaque. See http://us3.php.net/manual/en/imagick.opaquepainti...

Re: How do I shift the hue of a black png?

It would be helpful to have your input image to know exactly what you are trying to do. Note that black has no hue, so you cannot shift its hue. If you want to replace black with some other color you can do that. It is possible that Imagick colorizeImage does not recognize transparent colors as rgba...

Re: Rotation per default not around center but NorthEast corner of image

Here is an alternate to GeeMack's excellent ImageMagick solution. This computes the center of the original input.jpg, and the center of the transparent region in the Overlay.png. Then it uses +distort SRT to translate and rotate the image before finally compositing with -layers merge. convert Overla...

Re: Rotation per default not around center but NorthEast corner of image

The geometry offset you are using moves the top left corner of the rotated image after its background has been added and not the top left corner of the Input where it gets rotated. So that is why you are not getting the right result. You would be better using -gravity center and figuring out where t...

This works on my Mac: ${1%.*}

This does not work on my Mac: ${1::-4}

Unfortunately, Apple provides only older versions of bash on my 2014 Mac Mini. My bash is 3.2.57

Re: Defaults or how to find MAGICK_TEMPORARY_PATH

If in Unix and you put MAGICK_TEMPORARY_PATH in your .profile or .bash_profile, then you can cat your profile file and parse for MAGICK_TEMPORARY_PATH. I do not know windows, so cannot help on that end.

Re: Can't convert image file using a bash script

Try using var and $var rather than VAR and $VAR. Perhaps your Unix thinks all cap variables are environment variables or bash reserved variables. Does that make a difference?
