Re: Urgent - please help!

Does your color viewer or picker change the image format to JPG. If so, JPG is a lossy compression and changes colors. I have had very inconsistent results from various color pickers from screen displays as the colors do change by different viewers. You need to be sure that you are picking colors on...

Re: How to do this command with php api of imagemagick

See http://us3.php.net/manual/en/book.imagick.php. Try to match up the commands. Then try some code. If you cannot get it to work, then post your code and others who know Imagick might be able to point out your errors. ______________________ Please, always provide your IM version and platform when a...

Re: Change image color

Your command should not work. You are trying to change all colors by using -fuzz 100% and your are trying to change white, not black to red. This works fine for me on IM 7.0.8.23 Q16 Mac OSX Sierra, thought I get pure red and not your lighter reddish color. magick input.png -fuzz 50% -fill red -opaq...

Re: Fast and Lean Image Processing Solution?

I have some tshirt processing ImageMagick scripts (in bash unix shell script format) that can be use from PHP exec(). You can find: tshirt, tshirtwarp, tshirtwarper at my web site http://www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/index.html. However, I do not know if they will be faster than your current solut...

Re: Fill image with other colors

If using IM 6, use convert. If using IM 7, use magick. Do not use magick convert for IM 7. My command has a typo. I put an extra "result" in it. Take that out so that convert balloon.jpg -channel rgba -fuzz 20% -fill none -opaque "rgba(225,0,66,1)" -fill "rgba(255,255,255,1)" +opaque none -alpha off...

Re: Detect transparent borders

If you trim the image and do not clear the page information, then the trim geometry is available in the verbose information. Or it is available for the image.png in the string format %@ via command line. I do not know the API equivalent, but I suspect it is there and available for you. convert image...

Re: How would you go about separating elements from their background?

Background foreground separation can be very hard unless the background is a relatively constant color.

Re: OCR image preprocessing with ImageMagic

What is different about your various tests? Does not test6.tif work to do OCR? If not, have you tried making the background white? You have not posted your original tif file. The file above has been changed to a JPG.

Re: Masking 2 images

You may need to increase he contrast in image2. One way is -auto-level. Another is -level or -sigmoidal-contrast or -brightness-contrast.
