Re: Get coordinates Top, Left, size of some areas

I think this gets your 7 boxes where I have tossed out the header line and the largest black region which is the background. I tossed out anything smaller than 2000 pixels in area to throw out the white lines surrounding the black boxes. convert Black_and_White.jpeg -threshold 50% -type bilevel \ -d...

Re: Get coordinates Top, Left, size of some areas

Is there a way to mix in a single command the 2 steps below to make it more straight forward? Just concatenate the two commands without the intermediate saved image. convert input.png \ -transparent '#39D6AE' \ -transparent '#9EB629' \ -transparent '#8DA718' \ -transparent '#A47721' \ -transparent ...

Re: Get coordinates Top, Left, size of some areas

Perhaps I misunderstand the question. I think cgkas simply wants the coordinates of the black connected components: Yes, I agree with you. Good point. There is no need to fill then with white, since they are surrounded by white. Thus you can find the black rectangles as well as the white one apart ...

Re: pdf to image problem

Code: Select all

magick -density 288 convert 01.pdf -resize 25% 01.png
Nominal density is 72. So 72*4=288 and thus I resize by the inverse of 4 = 1/4 = 25%

Re: pdf to image problem

You need to install the Ghostscript delegate into your Imagemagick. Imagemagick cannot find Ghostscript.

Re: Get coordinates Top, Left, size of some areas

I am not sure how to do that unless you can color them first so they are filled in. If the lines were separate and did not connect between the box areas AND there were no extended lines, then then could be identified. But the connected components will get the bounding boxes including the extended li...

Re: Is there a proper fix for DSA-4316?

Have you tried editing the policy.xml file to uncomment this line

Code: Select all

 <!-- <policy domain="module" rights="none" pattern="{PS,PDF,XPS}" /> -->
and change rights to read|write

Code: Select all

 <policy domain="module" rights="read|write" pattern="{PS,PDF,XPS}" />

Best if you provide an example image so I understand the issue.

Re: Watermarking images with proportional watermark

snibgo's solution requires IM 7 to do inline computation for the -resize from the -set option. GeeMack's solution will work on IM 6, because distort understands these computations where -resize does not. IM 7 has more features, but you must use magick rather than convert. There are a few other oddit...

Re: Get coordinates Top, Left, size of some areas

In Unix bash syntax starting with your black and white image:' convert Black_and_White.jpeg -threshold 50% -type bilevel \ -define connected-components:verbose=true \ -define connected-components:area-threshold=2000 \ -define connected-components:mean-color=true \ -connected-components 4 \ +write tm...

Re: Converting layered AI File to PNG

It is likely due to an older version of Ghostscript. You can check your version with PHP exec() calling gs --version. <?php exec("gs --version",$out,$returnval); foreach($out as $text) {echo "$text<br>";} ?> If you find it old, then you should upgrade it. If you are on a hosted platform, then you wi...

I do not know any tool that will change the BitDepth. The BMP format link I mentioned above says it is not changeable.

Re: Converting layered AI File to PNG

This works fine for me on Imagemagick 6.9.10.12 Q16 Mac OSX with Ghostscript 9.24.

Code: Select all

convert logo_oetwil_ps.ai ai.png
Check your version of Ghostscript and be sure it is current.

For IM 7, use magick rather than convert.

It is properly -units pixelsperinch. Sorry my automatic spell corrector change what I typed and I did not notice it.

Re: How do I convert jpg image to tiff with 300DPI and reduce noise to 100%?

Why do you need to resample the image (-resize or -scale)? Why not just change the density so that it prints to the desired print size. You would only need to resize if you desire a smaller file size. convert image -units pixelsperinch -density XX result Where you compute the density give the pixels...
