Re: miff across version numbers

We include a version # to retain compatibility across changes. We likely missed something. Post a URL to a MIFF image that cannot be read properly by the latest release of ImageMagick and we will investigate.

Re: GaussJordanElimination()

IMv7 has a vast amount of optimizations over IMv6. One was reducing namespace pollution by eliminating one-off methods by making them private or static. Our preference would be to leave GaussJordanElimination() private and instead instruct you to clone the method to your col2mat module and condition...

Re: ellipse does not work in some cases - too many bezier coordinates / non-conforming drawing primitive definition

Thanks for the use case. We use speculative memory allocation for allocating memory for drawing primitives. We have a flaw in the algorithm such that it aggressively over allocates the memory. We have a solution but cannot push the patch until this weekend.

There are two, MagickCore and MagickWand. We recommend MagickWand.

Thank you for the SetPixels() contribution to PerlMagick in ImageMagck version 7. Look for it in the next point release of ImageMagick.

Re: IMDisplayDoc function "Tag 32934" Null count error

The latest releases of ImageMagick 6.9.9-37 and 7.0.7-25 can read the image you posted. It does report a warning and an error but the conversion appears to be correct.

Re: Image resizing 10x slower on Linux than Mac

We're using ImageMagick 7.0.7-25 and get sub-second processing time under Fedora 27:

Code: Select all

$ time magick photo.gif -coalesce -resize 16x16 +dither output.gif
0.415u 0.046s 0:00.46 97.8%     0+0k 360+944io 2pf+0w

Re: Image resizing 10x slower on Linux than Mac

Is OpenCL enabled? If so, its utilizing the GPU to resize.
