Re: too many bezier coordinates when drawing ellipse

Thanks for the problem report. We can reproduce it and will have a patch to fix it in GIT master branch @ https://github.com/ImageMagick/ImageMagick later today. The patch will be available in the beta releases of ImageMagick @ http://www.imagemagick.org/download/beta/ by sometime tomorrow.

Re: Disabling Ghostscript in IM

Its possible that older versions of ImageMagick cannot process a glob pattern. If so, you can disable the formats one at at time, like this: <policy domain="coder" rights="none" pattern="PS" /> <policy domain="coder" rights="none" pattern="PDF" /> If there is a nested image, it is still checked agai...

ImageMagick best practices strongly encourages you to configure a security policy that suits your local environment. See https://www.imagemagick.org/script/security-policy.php for a detailed discussion. Relevant to this potential exploit in Ghostscript, you can restrict ImageMagick to only web-safe ...

Re: [MagickCore] Reading an image from memory

Have you carefully read https://www.imagemagick.org/script/architecture.php#cache? Direct copy from ImageMagick's pixel staging buffer typically won't work unless, in your case, desiredChannelCount is GetPixelChannels(image) and you are prepared to utilize the pixels of type Quantum. Recall, Quantum...

Re: convert : force output as PDF v1.3 possible ?

ImageMagick returns a PDF version 1.7 when an ICC color profile is embedded. Can you reference documentation that suggests a color profile meets the requirements of PDF version 1.3?

Re: resurrecting gigapixel image from 256px jpgs - "unable to open pixel cache" and "too many files open"

We don't have access to your images. We created 96000+ 640x480 images in the JPEG format and as mentioned, the conversion completed without complaint.

Re: Newlines in text files no longer work.

Likely this is a transient bug. We tried your command with the current release of ImageMagick and got expected results.

Re: resurrecting gigapixel image from 256px jpgs - "unable to open pixel cache" and "too many files open"

We run on a Linux system with modern SAS disks. The conversion took just under 2 hours. For Windows, and utilizing the pixel cache on disk, we are not surprised for it to be running this slow. Let it run to completion. If you need to do lots of these, consider switching to Linux and SD drives to inc...

Re: resurrecting gigapixel image from 256px jpgs - "unable to open pixel cache" and "too many files open"

It looks like you have everything you need. The Windows release of ImageMagick supports JPEG and TIFF. The tiff64: prefix to your output filename permits TIFF images that exceed 4GB. Replace -limit memory 8000mb with -limit area 0. We want to force the pixel cache to disk. This is very slow but we n...
