Re: convert to TIFF with JPEG compression, single strip/tile, YBrCR

This is what I get when I attempt to convert the PDF to TIF. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yw9ftlvev2ynksz/UnusableFormat.TIF?dl=0 As snibgo mentioned, your usable TIF seems to be created with an obsolete JPEG compression. One other difference I notice when checking the files is the one that works repo...

Yep, my mistake. I was working those sample images for the opening poster. I tried them using IM6 and IM7 and got the same results with each. I mentioned my IM6 version and pasted my IM7 command. Sorry about the confusion.

Re: Conversion taking too long for some PNG images

Is there something wrong with the images or why is it taking so long? Re: Can I extract multiple EXIF tags in one go?

Ah, thanks. That seems to work well. I'm grateful to you. You got the definitive answer from fmw42 already. You might be able to build on that idea to create a comma separated list you can (probably) easily import directly into your database program. identify -format "%f,%[EXIF:tagname_1],%[EXIF:ta...

Re: Two images into one bmp with alpha channel

But I can only do it for one pair at a time manually. Would there be a way to automate this? Something like for every ***.png select the respective ***_mask.png -compose CopyOpacity -composite D:\output folder\***.bmp so it goes through every pair in the folder and also names the resulting bmp afte...

Re: Attempting to integrate two gif onto a png

This reads the file etc just once, and decompresses. Then all the frames are cloned, which means pointers are built. So this is quicker and uses less memory.. Thanks for the additional hint. I use IM for a lot of stuff. A lot. Like building yearbook pages from hundreds of scanned images, assembling...

Re: Attempting to merge a .gif and failing

The background is now transparent but I now need to get rid of the echo. I think I understand what you're trying to do, but without your original images it's difficult to help you work out a command that gets the whole job done. Maybe you can upload them to your server so we can try a few things. M...

Re: Sort images into folders based on resolution AND size

How would I first change all images with resolutions under 200dpi to 200dpi? You can change the resolution of all JPGs in the directory to 200dpi with a command like this... mogrify -density 200 *.jpg Of course that will change those with higher resolutions to 200dpi, too. Maybe take a look at the Windows "pushd" command to get your batch file to change directory.
