Re: Combining images with resize

As Bonzo has suggested, a combination of PHP, Imagick, Javascript, AJAX and perhaps Jquery might be able to do all of what you want

Re: Combining images with resize

Imagemagick is not GUI based. It is command line (type in terminal window). So it does not do upload, download, drag and drop, etc. All it would do to help you is the actual overlaying of one image onto another at the specified location. It can resize image also. For novices, see http://www.imagemag...

Re: Highlights, shadows, midtones of an image

Here is one approach. For shadows, midtowns and highlights, extract the appropriate gray or color channel image. Then clone it and threshold it in the shadow (dark 33% or as desired), or highlights (bright 33% or as desired), or midtowns (middle 33% or as desired). Multiply the thresholded mask by t...

Re: Cropping 16 bit .BMP files and maintaining pixel size

-define bmp:subtype=ARGB1555

And that did not seem to work, it produced a file with 24 bits per pixel, I thought that ARGB1555 should fit in 16 bits?

What happens if you add -type palettealpha to your command.

Re: Highlights, shadows, midtones of an image

To add fuzz, I presume you mean you want a ramped mask. So add -blur radiusxsigma (typically 0xsigma for gaussian blurred ramp or radiusx65000 for linear blurred ramp) -level 50x100% after the threshold operation in snibgo's command. You have not specified what effects you want. Please be more speci...

Re: How to feather only cetain sides of an image?

try increasing the blur radius to 50 or adjust as seems to fit best your requirements.

Code: Select all

convert test.png -alpha set -virtual-pixel transparent -channel A -morphology Convolve Blur:50x65000+90 -level 50x100% +channel result.png

Re: How to feather only cetain sides of an image?

try this using a 1D linear vertical only blur of 20 pixels:

Code: Select all

convert test.png -alpha set -virtual-pixel transparent -channel A -morphology Convolve Blur:20x65000+90 -level 50x100% +channel result.png

Re: Possible bug using mpc vs either clones or mpr

OK. All the images until the last seem to be the same. The issue seems to be when creating the % escape inside a parenthesis for one image and trying to use it for another image. Nevertheless, I found a better method that works using -set option as follows: T="65000" sigma=5 im7 magick \ \( logo: -w...

Re: How to feather only cetain sides of an image?

I am not sure I understand the issue. Can you be more succinct? What is the basic issue? If you have a tiled image that you only want feathered in certain areas. Then create a feathering mask and edit that to avoid the "safe" regions. Then use the mask to apply feathering against some background col...

Re: Noticed an inconsistency with Pseudo-filename '-' across different versions of ImageMagick

In IM 7.0.7.21 Q16 Mac OSX, these both work fine

Code: Select all

magick logo: TIFF:- | magick - test.png
The above produce test.png that looks like logo:

Code: Select all

magick logo: -depth 8 -type truecolormatte TIFF:- | magick identify -verbose -
The above produces verbose information

So it would seem to be a Windows issue.

DOH! Thanks. I forgot about the single letter issue. This works fine.

Code: Select all

[RESOLVED] Possible bug using mpc vs either clones or mpr

. I am using IM 7.0.7.21 Q16 Mac OSX Sierra. I am trying to do a particular computation that requires HDRI to permit negative values. I get one result saving separate steps to mpc and another result when trying to make it into one command line using either mpr: or clones. Reference: https://stackove...

[RESOLVED] Enhancement Request

The following command works in IM 7.0.7.21 Q16 Mac OSX Sierra magick logo: -evaluate multiply "%[fx:maxima]" tmp.png Since the maximum value in logo: is white, "%[fx:maxima]" will equal 1 and tmp.png will look the same as logo: But this fails trying to use -set option with percent escapes for the ar...

Re: Noticed an inconsistency with Pseudo-filename '-' across different versions of ImageMagick

Have you tried 7.0.7.21? Perhaps it is a Windows Imagemagick issue or a Q8 issue? I was using Q16.
