Re: gradients going wrong

Also the verbose info of your orange with black stripes image also shows: Colormap: 1 0: (255,102, 0) #FF6600 rgb(255,102,0) With regard to this issue, I simply tried to copy your image convert text_color2.png text_color2b.png convert: Invalid colormap index `text_color2.png'. So there is an error ...

Re: gradients going wrong

First tell me if this works: convert -size 100x100 xc:white xc:gray40 xc:black -combine test_color4.png http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/color/test_color4.png no, it gives me a blue colour: http://www.ephotozine.com/images/user-awards/temp/text_color4.png Very strange. Re: gradients going wrong

Im viewing the image in firefox, safari and internet explorer. All show black bars running through it (internet explorer shows slightly lighter black bars). I am using Safari 3.1.2 Mac OSX 10.4.11 Tiger and I don't see any black bars. But in Firefox, I do see them. Let me analyze further, but try t...

Re: gradients going wrong

Also tell me if the following gives you the correct color: convert -size 100x100 xc:"rgb(255,102,0)" -depth 8 test_color.png On my local copy (the later verion), it does render the correct image. On the older version it renders the correct colour, but with inconsistent black bars. http://ephotozine...

Re: potential bugs in stats for image in IM 6.4.4.-1

Copy / paste error. The problem is fixed in the Subversion trunk and will be in the next point release of ImageMagick. Thanks. I had a feeling that most of the issues were caused this way. However, would you clarify the Grayscale Method 3 case: Method 3 (string formats -- no colorspace gray): stats...

Re: Removing background

I'm sorry if this is more of an image processing question than Imagemagick, per se, but, I have a series of microscope images that have blue spots with a random off-white background. I like the blue spots and want to remove the background so that it's transparent. The difficulty is that the blue sp...

potential bugs in stats for image in IM 6.4.4.-1

IM 6.4.4-1 Q16 Mac OSX Tiger I have been trying to understand some differences in ways to get the min, max, mean, std stats for an image and believe that in some cases there are some errors and in other cases, I may not understand what is being computed. (I am working on an autogamma and autolevel scri...

Re: Help altering some batch edits to have a Transparency

The source image has transparency because it has spaces "with no background" where you can see thru. This is used (for a web page) to make the user see the real page background. The desired destination should keep those transparent spots and receive a "fade out at the bottom" Effekt which can be cr...

Re: Request: Vignette Correction

Yes, I can see that. I avoided the -compose divide solution because the web page suggested to avoid it. If you look right below that, you can see the command I'm using. Also, if you look at my post, you'll see that I changed the order of operations from Martin's solution to avoid what might be roun...

Re: Is it possible to output file type and progressiveness only?

Hi I tried this command to output only file type. identify -format "%m" 0000048884_20080529155208.jpg However, I can't find any info related to a way to find progressiveness. Is there special format letter to return it that I might have missed? Thanks in advance. Best I can figure out, you have to ...

Re: Request: Vignette Correction

Vignette correction (or flat-field correction) is a common photographic manipulation that must be done before images are stitched together in a panorama or seamless montage. Basically, the edges of an image get less illumination because optical systems have less efficiency as you move off-axis, and...

hello, is it possible to select a square part (not a rectangular part) of an image using command lines? The images will be human photos and i have to select the head and shoulders. The square may not be the same size because photos are not taken exactly at the same distance and the photos may not b...

Re: Help altering some batch edits to have a Transparency

Hm. Thats pretty cool. It works perfectly if the input file is without transparency itself - like convert logo: \( -size 640x480 gradient: \) +matte -compose copy_opacity -composite out.png But imagine the input file has already transparency on it. Then the output is simply a gradient... Why? One c...

Re: svg to png not converting text

Your version is VERSION 6.0.7, which is extremely OLD. Perhaps you should update. The DELEGATES line may have changed since your version. Your version shows: # LIBS -lMagick -ltiff -lfreetype -ljpeg -lpng -ldpstk -ldps -lXext -lXt -lSM -lICE -lX11 -lbz2 -lxml2 -lz -lpthread -lm -lpthread Which may n...
