Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

Fred, in your cross corelation matching of images, the resulting images spikes to mark the top-left corner position for placement of the smaller image. Yes, the match coordinates (or pixels in the output) reference where the top left corner pixel in the smaller image is located in the larger image....

Re: -debug annotate > No output

I believe that you need to specify and image size using -size WxH, otherwise I think you get a 1x1 pixel image. See http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/annotating/

Re: EXIF change or FX calculation to return the shutter speed

In Unix do: shutter=`identify -format "%[EXIF:ShutterSpeedValue]"` speed=`convert xc: -format "%[fx:$shutter]" info:` if shutter=810/100, the result is 8.1 If you want 1/(2^speed), then shutter=`identify -format "%[EXIF:ShutterSpeedValue]"` speed=`convert xc: -format "%[fx:$shutter]" info:` shutters...

Re: Convert image, with new filename and proper extension

You may be able to speed it up a bit by adding -ping to your identify command. See http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/basics/#controls

Re: convert from dicom (dcm) to jpeg

Dear All, Can somebody confirm that ImageMagick still only supports depth 8 (as default) in jpeg? Is there any way to supports 12, 16, or even 24? BTE: if I want to use jpeg lossless, how can I do that? Best, --Wo What is your IM environment? Is it Q8 or Q16? If the latter, you should get 16-bits p...

OK. No problem and no hurry. If you can, give me a heads up when there is something firmed up to test.

Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

I downloaded IM 6.5.0-9 beta as you suggested. But it does not yet appear to be working or I do not know the correct syntax. But the output from compare on two equal size images shows some changes to display the match coordinates, e.g. compare -metric rmse rose: rose: null: 0 (0) @ 0,0 Tried compari...

Just curious! Is it possible to link Flash (action scripts or otherwise) to IM rather than writing code from scratch?

Re: possible bug -black-threshold & -white-threshold IM 6.5.0-6

They should be channel sensitive, but as only the red channel is in use (all other channels have 0 values) it should not matter for this image. However does not look like the black-threshold is correct. The threshold point should be in the same place in BOTH images, but containing the unmodified gr...

Re: Montage, align images bottom

If it was a Wiki page I would have contributed this as I think quite a few people will find it useful, but it isn't. Anyway, my problem is solved and hopefully people can find this thread through a search engine if they stumble over the same problem. Thanks again fmw42! :-) I sent a message to Anth...

Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

The patch will be part of ImageMagick-6.5.0-8 Beta as well. We're not commenting on implementation just yet because the design is in flux. OK. Let me know when you have something for me to test and some description of the options and example command lines. You can send as private message if you want.

Re: Exr support for convert.exe tool

I am not sure I can help much. But did you actually install (./configure, make, make install) OpenEXR from http://www.openexr.com/index.html. If so, you must install IM afterwards. If installed properly, you can convert -list configure and look at the line starting with DELEGATES to see if openexr s...
