Re: Merging rotated gif onto background gives color differences

Re: +clone and parens

This is a use-case for +clone in which I do not need to do further processing on the clone, hence there is no logical call for the grouping construct. It makes more logical sense to group your first commands and then clone, so the clone sees the result of the command not the input plasma image conv...

Re: Batch changing resolution in PNG

I'm trying to change the resolutions of a batch of PNG files. Right now, they are at 72dpi, but they need to be set to 300dpi (no rescaling). This is because the dpi is used when I convert them into PDF, resulting in incorrect PDF page sizes. I try mogrify -density 300x300 page*.png but nothing cha...

Re: Merging rotated gif onto background gives color differences

Use a common colortable with or without dithering via -map

Re: Problem with black image while adding text

Re: Problem with black image while adding text

have you tried to convert the image with -type Palette or -type Grayscale? you can also try changing the endian from LSB to MSB via -endian MSB see http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#type http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#endian try convert inputimage...

Which is the fastest way of doing this?

Re: Problem with black image while adding text

Try including a fill color for your text. The default is probably black.

add -fill white before your -draw

Re: Gimp instructions convert to Imagemagick - anaglyphs

you may want to look at recolor to do the color matrix operation as it is much faster than -fx

Re: Faster to bundle imagemagick commands then run separately?

This might be a case by case sort of question, but is it noticeably faster to bundle commands in a convert statement. Or does imagemagick just process commands in order, not optimizing several commands together. Im trying to figure out if I should be going to difficult lengths to keep the convert o...

Re: xv -acrop vs. convert -trim

fmw42, Perfect. I still have to figure out the syntax of your color reading command. I was simply using -fuzz xx% and got nowhere. I was thinking of reading a color, but obviously there is no way I could have guessed at the syntax of that command. About posting the image. I cannot figure out why my...

Re: Limit trim to one direction

The problem is that I have a sequence of images where the object of interest moves. So manual cropping is not viable. Actually, xv -acrop works great (except that I could not figure out how to make it save the cropped images without using the gui) So, if one of you can tell me the optional paramete...
