Re: Manipulating Print / Document Size Issue

Take a look at -resample http://www.imagemagick.org/script/comma ... p#resample and http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/resize/#resample

I am no expert at this kind of thing, and I will defer to the experts, but I think this may be what you need.

Re: circle parameters

Yes, I would love to see that also. It makes sense to me, too.

But the IM developers are very busy with backlog of things to do. It would be great if there were other software developers willing to contribute some time to such development.

Re: exposure compensation?

you need to explain how you want to correct the overexposed image for step 2, that is what is the formula or processing that you need to do

Re: Controlling background color of transparent PNG?

if your background is actually transparent, then try

convert image.png -fill white -opaque none output.png

But then all transparent areas will become white

Re: possible bug in converting to gif in IM 6.4.1-5 (still)

Actually, I have no idea. But the point is that under IM 6.4.1-3 HDRI it only took 0.4 sec, but under IM 6.4.1-4 and 6.4.1-5 either Q16 or Q16-HDRI, it took over a minute. See timings above. So something has changed for the worse since 6.4.1-3

Re: circle parameters

in a shell script you could do:

radius=40
x0=some value
y0=some value
x1=`expr $x0 + $radius`
y1=$y0

convert ... -draw "circle $x0,$y0 $x1,$y1" ...

Re: Problems with EXR under Windows

see http://www.openexr.com/index.html http://www.openexr.com/ReadingAndWritingImageFiles.pdf Note IM only supports the "half" format and not the full 32-bit floating point format. You need to download and install the EXR delegate. Once you do that you can check to see that it was installed after you...

another inconsistency in string format syntax

I am finding a slight inconsistency when using identify vs convert in how string formats are handled. Basically if there are multiple frames in the image, identify runs the results together onto one long string return, but convert lists them on separate lines. Thus to fix this, I have to add \n when...

feedback on MIFF/PFM/TIFF format issue under 6.4.1-5 HDRI

All seems to working correctly with regard to all 3 formats, MIFF/PFM/TIFF, in my tests of the FFT phase image under IM 6.4.1-5 Q16 HDRI. All three are now reporting values between -pi and +pi Thanks for fixing all of these formats. Just a note: Sean Burke and I are now implementing some other FFT s...
