OK. No problem and no hurry. If you can, give me a heads up when there is something firmed up to test.

Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

I downloaded IM 6.5.0-9 beta as you suggested. But it does not yet appear to be working or I do not know the correct syntax. But the output from compare on two equal size images shows some changes to display the match coordinates, e.g. compare -metric rmse rose: rose: null: 0 (0) @ 0,0 Tried compari...

Re: Creating Text WordArt Effects

Just curious! Is it possible to link Flash (action scripts or otherwise) to IM rather than writing code from scratch?

Re: possible bug -black-threshold & -white-threshold IM 6.5.0-6

They should be channel sensitive, but as only the red channel is in use (all other channels have 0 values) it should not matter for this image. However does not look like the black-threshold is correct. The threshold point should be in the same place in BOTH images, but containing the unmodified gr...

Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

When it is ready, let me know the syntax for the command line to use to test it. Thanks.

Re: Montage, align images bottom

If it was a Wiki page I would have contributed this as I think quite a few people will find it useful, but it isn't. Anyway, my problem is solved and hopefully people can find this thread through a search engine if they stumble over the same problem. Thanks again fmw42! :-) I sent a message to Anth...

Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

The patch will be part of ImageMagick-6.5.0-8 Beta as well. We're not commenting on implementation just yet because the design is in flux. OK. Let me know when you have something for me to test and some description of the options and example command lines. You can send as private message if you want.

Re: Exr support for convert.exe tool

I am not sure I can help much. But did you actually install (./configure, make, make install) OpenEXR from http://www.openexr.com/index.html. If so, you must install IM afterwards. If installed properly, you can convert -list configure and look at the line starting with DELEGATES to see if openexr s...

Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

This feature is already working in our development area. Look for a patch that you can test in the Subversion trunk by sometime this weekend. Thanks. I will have to wait for a beta as I have not worked out the details of getting things from the subversion. Did you implement both approaches that I s...

possible bug -black-threshold & -white-threshold IM 6.5.0-6

IM 6.5.0-6 Q16 Mac OSX Tiger The docs at http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#threshold imply that -threshold is channel sensitive. However, -black-threshold and -white-threshold don't say one way or the other. The following does not seem to work right to me if they are channel...

Re: Montage, align images bottom

-gravity south did it! (It worked both before and efter -geometry.) Thank you! I've already read the link though and I couldn't find anything about aligning them at the bottom. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss it as I studied the page for quite a while, but it's possible. I did not see it either, but ...

Re: Advanced image comparison for screenshots taken from webpage

Easy enough to do with a naive fuzzy pixel match. How do you envision this being implemented? One thought is to use the compare program. If the image is smaller than the reference image it looks for the subimage within the image and returns offset and metric. With -fuzz the subimage would not need ...

Re: -fx and image statistics do not work?

Hello, I would like to compute the standard deviation (or, actually the variance) of an image. When I try something like this: convert DarkAv.png -format '%[fx:w]' info: I can easily get the width of an image. According to http://www.imagemagick.org/script/fx.php I should also be able to use "stand...

montage 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg -shadow -geometry '+1+1' -background Khaki -tile 3x montage.jpg Gives me a montage where the images are centered vertically: http://i39.tinypic.com/adk9jn.jpg I would like to align them at the bottom of their rows.
