Re: converting fuzzy outlined text for ocr

try this on your black/white version above

Code: Select all

convert tri.jpg -morphology open octagon:4 -threshold 60% -negate result.png
I do not advise saving intermediate images to JPG, since it is a lossy format. Save the PNG or TIFF for intermediate results.

Re: Running batch file only on images recently modified

You would have to use your OS to test the modified date in your loop and do an if test on the date range. If it passes then process. If it does not pass, then skip the file via you looping mechanism (such as continue in unix) Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions,...

Re: bootlogo colour change impossible :(

Your input is not 9-bit palette but truecolor (24-bit) BMP3. So try this convert bat10.bmp -modulate 100,100,133 -compress none BMP3:result.bmp When I compare the Imagemagick verbose information, it appears to similar. EXIFTOOL says your image is bit depth 32, but there is no alpha channel. The abov...

Re: converting fuzzy outlined text for ocr

Because those letters were not completely enclosed by black. So the flood fill leaked into the white part of the letters and changed them to black which when negate became the white background.

Re: converting fuzzy outlined text for ocr

Try the following. Here I use mogrify to process all 3 files that I put into folder test1 and write the output to test2. First I draw a black border around the image. Next, I floodfill starting at the 0,0 with black to cover over the solid white background if it exists Next, I do a fuzzy change of n...

What about the width and height limits in the policy.xml? Where is the policy.xml file that you are changing? See https://imagemagick.org/script/resources.php for the potential locations. If you are on a shared server, the hosting provider has the main policy.xml file limitations set. You can only m...

Have you configured your camera to do white balancing? Are all the settings in the camera recorded in the image file meta data?

Re: Problem with SVG pattern

Your Imagemsgick 6.9.3.7 is rather old. You might want to upgrade. Imagemagick is now at 6.9.10.12. Imagemagick can render SVG files with different tools. It has its own MSVG/XML renderer. It can use the RSVG delegate if installed and it can use Inkscape if that is on your system and you are using a...

I do not understand your "TABLET ANIMATION". What is that? If you are saying that the results above do not display properly in some other software, then provide an example image that does and we can try to see what is different.

Re: Tiff comparison failure

Here is another way to do it in one command line when you have two multi-page tiff files of the same number of pages. I use IM 7 magick rather than convert since IM 7 is by default in HDRI mode, so has better accuracy. I get slightly different values for IM 6 convert. magick image1.tif null: image2....

Re: bootlogo colour change impossible :(

To change color, try -modulate.

Code: Select all

convert bat10-og.png -modulate 100,100,133 -type palette -compress none BMP3:result.bmp
