Re: detect_faces resize

Your numbers are not in pixel units. What units are they? How are they measured? What are the pixel dimensions of the full image as width and height. Are these numbers in the range 0 to 1 relative to the pixel width and height of the input image? Are they in inches or centimeters? Please clarify the...

Re: Question about Caption Again ?

Please provide your ImageMagick version. From your list of Features, it looks like you do not have any delegates installed. What do you get from

convert -version

and what is your platform?

Re: how clean this captcha use imagemagick?

Helping to break captchas on this forum is not recommended as that may not be legal. Do you own the captcha or web site?

BoundingBoxHeight BoundingBoxLeft BoundingBoxTop BoundingBoxWidth

try using the values as

convert input -crop BoundingBoxWidthxBoundingBoxHeight+BoundingBoxLeft+BoundingBoxTop +repage output

I can confirm this. The change to a bad result occurred first at 6.9.9.41 Q16 Mac OSX.

Re: Image shade changes while converting a tiff to jpg with RGB colorspace

-colorspace sRGB works fine for me with your image on IM 6.9.9.50 Q16 Mac OSX. The result is quite different from -colorspace RGB.

Nevertheless, you would get better results converting using profiles.

Re: Convert Images to LAB

Try converting from eci-rgb to srgb with profiles. Then convert to lab with -colorspace lab. I suspect ImageMagick does not know the eci-rgb colorspace, so you cannot convert from it using -colorspace. But you could with an eci-rgb profile. See http://www.eci.org/en/downloads for profiles. Or use pr...

Re: Convert Images to LAB

Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions, since syntax may differ. Also provide your exact command line and if possible your images. Re: Clipping mask and adding feather

It seems to need an -alpha off added in IM 7. Try (unix syntax) magick identify -quiet -format "%[8BIM:1999,2998:#1]" image.jpg |\ magick -quiet image.jpg \( - -alpha off -negate -morphology erode diamond:1 -blur 0x1 -level 50x100% \) \ -alpha off -compose copy_opacity -composite \ result.png (windo...

Re: Image corrupted when converted to pixel cache

Perhaps you want -resize 1600x1600\> or "1600x1600>"

Re: -shave and aspect ratio

Here is another approach using the new -crop ratio.

Code: Select all

xshave=50
yshave=0
magick input -set option:ratio "%w:%h" -shave "${xshave}x${yshave} -gravity center -crop "%[ratio]" +repage output
This command seems simple enough that I do not believe any new define is needed

Re: About gif to jpg color distortion

Gif has limited colors (<=256) and palette type. When converted to jpg with lossy compression, you introduce new colors and 24-bit color. You would have to create a color map image and use -recolor to try to get the same colors back in your jpg, though that may not work, since JPG does not support 8...

Re: Batch autocrop images to fixed size?

If you remove the \ and keep as one long command line it should be fine. My code is actual bash scripting code and not pseudocode.
