Re: Question about caption:
Hello, thanks for response. I apologize for not being more precise, I meant is it possible to apply a gradient to text using caption? For example, the word testing to go from black to white like how it is in the second example in the following link: http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/fonts/ From what ...

Question about caption:
Hello there,
I was searching around and it seems that gradient fill only works for -annotate and not for caption:?
I was wondering if it's possible to apply a gradient fill to text created with caption:
Thank you.

Re: IM convert font color show up differently in FFMPEG
Seems to not cure the problem. I also tried with "-antialias". Ffmpeg does have the ability to drawtext onto video/gifs etc but not as good as using imagemagick especially with caption since it word wraps and also how -gravity is so useful. If you go back to the dropbox link, I created a g...

Re: IM convert font color show up differently in FFMPEG
Here is a link to the images. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6ticup9x1v5exgq/AAD-AwtMGxAzYQ4tm3Lw9A96a?dl=0 The file names describe what was done to them. I also placed a result gif to show you the result from ffmpeg after making the gif and a single frame from the result. The command to caption the fra...

Re: IM convert font color show up differently in FFMPEG
The colors amounts before and after captioning are in the above post I posted displaying image information using identify -verbose.
Hmm yes placed "+antialias" before caption; no avail.

Re: IM convert font color show up differently in FFMPEG
Hello, Thanks for the response. Adding "+antialias" to the caption command did not work. Here is the original caption command: convert frame_00001.png -background transparent -pointsize 50 -font Impact -fill green -stroke black -strokewidth 2 -gravity center caption:"text here" -...

Re: IM convert font color show up differently in FFMPEG
Yes the frames have 265 colors and less. Yes all the frames use the same palette. Yes the ffmpeg does reassembles the frames into a gif with no issues other than the font color is not the correct color. After captioning the frames with imagemagick, no the frames are not 265, they are more than 265. ...

IM convert font color show up differently in FFMPEG
Hello, I am using FFMPEG to extract frames from a video and then take those frames, caption them with some text with imagemagick and then take frames back to ffmpeg to create a gif from it. All is well except the color of the font doesn't render the color I am choosing. Imagemagick does it's job, th...

Is it possible to remove an object from image using IM
Hello there, I was wondering if it is possible to remove a certain object from an image, for example a car, or a ball and save that output to an image? For example, is it possible to extract just the car from this image: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d2/2014_Chevrolet_Corvette.jpg...

Hello Fred,
Yes I quoted the color.
I went ahead and upgraded to the latest version of IM and it works now.
Also, thanks for the tip on -strip. Thanks again.

Re: Montage question
Hey guys, I thought I would post here in this thread again since it basically deals with image resizing because of the previous posts... I am currently trying to do a simple resize. The image I have is 1600 by 1200. I run this command: convert IMG_8687.jpg -resize 1000x400\> resized.png, the image r...
