ICC profile not converting to CMYK

Post by Workey »

Hi there. I am using IM version 6.7.6-9 on Windows XP and using command-line to do image conversions. I am applying an ICC profile to an image that does not contain any other profiles (I have used the -strip command). The ICC profile is supposed to convert the image to CMYK. However, after using "identify -verbose" I see that the image is sRGB and not CMYK. In photoshop, I apply this same profile and the image becomes CMYK according to Photoshop (however, IM does not consider that image CMYK).

On a side note, when I use "-colorspace CMYK" the image is converted to CMYK according to IM. However, when I send the image through my application I receive an error saying "Unsupported Image Type".

Am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks for any information given!
