improving cleaning script

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

improving cleaning script

Post by bvsp »

I found a whiteboard cleaning script which works well enough.

This is the script:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
convert "$1" -morphology Convolve DoG:15,100,0 -negate -normalize -blur 0x1 -channel RBG -level 60%,91%,0.1 "$2"

This is the output (left is input, right is output): https://imgur.com/a/1nzuhTd

Note how the last word 'TOUCHSCREEN' is more legible before processing. On the image processed the "E" in "TOUCHSCREEN" is not that crisp.
Can the processing be improved?

Perhaps you might be interested in my whiteboard script at my link below. It does require a Unix-like platform to run.
