-version returns false now!

We use ImageMagick from Alfresco, initialized by a check using 'convert -help' and checking it succeeds (returns 'true'). Used to work fine until recently when it started returning false. Seems wrong: both convert -version and -help as commands should succeed, surely??

Any chance it's going to change back any time soon?
