wish: mogrify counter

I have one wish for 7th version of mogrify: counter of processed files.
This is no problem for regular tasks, I am doing my own scripts, with loops, nice reporting and so on (although getting some performance penalty by calling convert separately for each file). But quite often I have odd task when I have to process 500 files and just quickly compose mogrify line. Just file names are usually not enough to orientate where am I at the moment so counter similar to identify would be really helpul.
