Image preview darker than the original image

Post by cldhbr »

We currently have a file uploader that previews images prior to being submitted for print jobs (see below).
Does anyone have expertise in this area and can fix this colour profile issue?
I have been told part of the issue was related to the fact that we did not render the image in sRGB.
We are running ImageMagick on Linux and have version 6.8.6.
Please let me know if you need any further details.

Post the actual image being previewed, not screen snaps. There could be many reasons including the viewer. It would probably be best to convert all input images to sRGB with profiles. You might also want to upgrade to the current version of IM (6.9.1.10) to be sure it was not a buggy release. Your release is about 60 versions old. Also I do not understand. If you are on Linux, why the Windows viewer?

Is this a paid job? If not, then this post needs to be move to the Users forum, since this forum is only for paid consulting. Please respond on this and we will move it.
