@snigbo Thank you for suggesting to use clamp. That was by far the simplest solution that fixed my issue!
@ fmw42 Turns out all I needed was the clamp flag as was perviously stated. Disabling HDRI worked as well, at least in avoiding the blown out blue artifacts. Not sure if down the line I would have wanted the HDRI capability though.
