unable to paste X image LOGO

Post by Geoffrey Wheeler »

I am unable to paste images on the clipboard into ImageMagick. I open IM and Ctrl+v (or Edit -> Paste). Then I get a message unable to paste X image LOGO.What is the proper procedure to paste an image?

What version of IM, on what platform?

IM is a set of command-line programs, mostly non-interactive. I don't know what you mean by "I open IM ...".

If an image is in the clipboard, it can be used as an input in a "convert" command, or "magick" if you use v7:

Code: Select all

convert clipboard: out.png
snibgo's IM pages: im.snibgo.com

Hmmm, I can launch Image Magick in Kubuntu and then open a graphics file to edit it. There is a GUI. I've put my version and platform info in my signature now. I think I have a lot to learn.
