Install Process with Delegates

Post by phollyer »

Hi,

Version: ImageMagick 7.0.7-11 Q16 x86_64 2017-11-29

OS: Centos 7

I've installed IM from the RPM's and I now need to add .png and .jpg delegates.

I have found libpng and libjpg in /usr/lib64.

I've been through the RPM docs, but can't see how I would add the paths to the delegates.

Can I tell IM where the delegates are, or do I have to do a fresh install from source in order to configure the delegates?

What is the expected procedure if I require an additional decode delegate in, say, 6 months time?

Thanks

I now have the delegates working.

I'm assuming I did something wrong first few times around, because I've torn down my VM, re-built it from scratch, and installing from the rpm's now results in the following output from identify -version:

Delegates (built-in): bzlib cairo djvu fftw fontconfig fpx freetype gslib jng jpeg lcms ltdl lzma pangocairo png ps tiff wmf x xml zlib

So all good now.

I very much doubt I'll need any other delegates.
