Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

If you look half way down the page of the first link you will see a thumbnail with "Skyblue" padding which I thought was the effect you wanted. " Pad Out the Image "

I tried the first 2 examples and the first one didn't work for me and the second one would only work if I output as a gif.

Otherwise I have no ideas.
