Reading PDFs fails under Windows 64 bit

Reading PDFs fails under Windows 64 bit

I think this is a genuine bug in the interplay between IM and GhostScript, as several persons have reported by now in the users forum. (See also the last post frome jonez). I couldn't get it to work either. I asked some colleagues who regulary work under Windows 64 bit (at our office, it's only the Server that runs 64 bit Windows 2008 R2) and they all report the same problem, without a clue for its solution.

We have not yet figured out the voodoo required to identify and load the Ghostscript 64-bit DLL's. If there are any Windows developers out there, we're open to suggestions. You'll find the relevant code in the ImageMagick source folder ImageMagick-6.7.1-6/magick/nt-base.c.
