You can convert a web page to JPEG, for example, with this command:

• convert http://www.google.com/index.html google.jpg

This process requires the html2ps script. A better solution might be to have a script fire up Firefox and issue a print command to Postscript then convert the Postscript to a JPEG thumbnail with ImageMagick.

A program to fire up browsers then screen capture them automatically was published in the IM mail lists some time ago.
