Re: resize was successful but cannot decrease file size

You have a very large xmp profile in your image (Profile-xmp: 4081099 bytes). You also have increased the quality from 74 to 75, which is not likely a big deal. Try adding -strip to your command to remove the profile and other meta data. Or remove the xmp profile, via +profile "xmp". You also did no...

Re: Accessing raw image data

I do not use Magick.Net, so I will leave confirmation to him. But that is the way it is in the command line version of ImageMagick.

Re: Accessing raw image data

All colorspace use the same notation for the first few channels 0 for red, cyan, gray, intensity, luminance, etc. whether RGB, CMYK, YCbCr or LAB. You have to keep track of which colorspace you are working in.

Re: Alpha multiplying broken since upgrade to 7.x

I have already reported the bug.

Most Linux distros still come with IM 6 and very old versions at that. They are slow to upgrade. There are some difference between IM 6 and IM 7.

Re: Image is green when opened in MODI

See http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#define for the list of tiff defines. Perhaps the issue is the endian or fill order or rows per strip. Since none of us use MODI, we have no way to test these. You could send us a tiff file that seems to work and another from imagemagick ...

Re: resize error

If you are still having an issue, please post your PDF file to some free hosting service that will preserve the PDF and put the URL here. Also post the exact commands that cause the issue.

Re: Convert PSD files with alpha channel to transparent background

Your file has a fully opaque alpha channel according to identify -verbose 44-2868_11.psd. So the best I can do the convert it to transparent background is to change the blue color to transparent as follows using IM 6.9.9.26 Q16 Mac OSX. convert 44-2868_11.psd[0] -fuzz 10% -transparent "#4CDEFE" resu...

Re: Alpha multiplying broken since upgrade to 7.x

I believe there is a bug in IM 7. The command should work in either version. tmp.png: http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/composite_bug/tmp.png test-gradient.png: http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/composite_bug/test-gradient.png IM 6.9.9.26: This works fine convert tmp.png test-gradient.png -c...

Re: Check single column of pixels

Snibgo left off the final "info:" at the end of the command. Try

Code: Select all

Re: Crop image based on coordinates from a "-trim +repage" of a different image?

How do you crop your montage? Do you resent the virtual canvas with +repage? Does this help? cropv=`convert /dev/shm/masktmp-${original}.gif +repage -format "%@" info:` convert "${original}" +repage -gravity northwest -extent $expandvar -crop $cropv +repage "${original/.jpg/-cropped.jpg}" I am reall...

Re: Crop image based on coordinates from a "-trim +repage" of a different image?

Perhaps the location of the square is not being offset properly when resizing to full resolution. But you always use -gravity center before extent. That may be the issue. If you make your square from the top left of the thumbnail and resize, then you should use -gravity northwest. But I really do no...

Re: Crop image based on coordinates from a "-trim +repage" of a different image?

What is the purpose of the -extent? If you extend before the crop, then your cropv values will be offset from the exenteded image if you are changing its size?

Re: Crop image based on coordinates from a "-trim +repage" of a different image?

try convert "${original}" -gravity center -extent $expandvar -crop $( convert /dev/shm/masktmp-${original}.gif -format "%@" info: ) +repage "${original/.jpg/-cropped.jpg}" But you do not gain anything from just keeping two lines cropv=`convert /dev/shm/masktmp-${original}.gif -format "%@" info:` con...
