Re: Convert PSD or TIF to JPG ignore alpha

try this magick -define psd:alpha-unblend=off Alpha_Example.psd[0] result.jpg See http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#define Personally, I think there is a bug, since your alpha channel is disabled in the PSD file and should not show. But the IM developers will need to comment...

Re: Convert PSD or TIF to JPG ignore alpha

I do not see any "ALPHA" in your IM result! In your command line -sample needs a <geometry> value. You do not show the output in your command. Is that all that is missing? Please show the actual command line with image names. It would be best if you could provide your input PSD file . Have you tried...

Re: Interactive image editing with journaling

Try JqMagick at http://jqmagick.imagemagick.org. There is a listing of the command in the bottom right corner that you can copy. I does not keep a record of all commands, only the the last one. So not a true journaling.

Re: Visipics and finding similar images and dupicates with ImageMagick

I have recently implemented several other perceptual hash techniques that create binary string hash values that can be stored in the image. They use the hamming distance to compare the hash values between two images. See my scripts phases and hamming at my link below.

Re: Convert from tiff to png not working fine

Your image has 3 layers, each with an alpha channel and a clip path. You have to choose whether you want the clip path or the alpha channel and which layer you want. I do not know which you want and neither would ImageMagick. The following works for me to get the clip path of the first layer. conver...

Re: How to remove transparency from a TIF and replace with white background

Your problem is that you did not check SAVE TRANSPARENCY in the Options dialog when you saved your file. I opened your file and reserved it checking that box and now it shows transparency when opened and when converted to PNG.

Re: Detecting "nearly" grayscale

Doing what you want could cause problems if a just one or a few intended pixels were colored and you needed those to be colored as indicators of something at those locations. So do that with caution knowing what your image content is.

Re: How to remove transparency from a TIF and replace with white background

I removed the grouping and deleted one of the two layers and saved again to TIFF, but it still does not show transparency. Are these "smart layers"? If so, perhaps that is the issue. ImageMagick probably cannot handle any thing but simple pages or perhaps layers as TIFF files.

Re: How to remove transparency from a TIF and replace with white background

Your original test.tif has background transparency in two layers and does not have any alpha channel. There is also a layer group called "Zeichenfläche 1". I am not sure why ImageMagick nor the other tools cannot read the background transparency, but it might be due to the fact that you have a layer ...

Re: How to remove transparency from a TIF and replace with white background

Your original test.tif file does indeed open in Photoshop with transparency. But none of my other tools such as Mac Preview and GraphicsConverter and GIMP show the transparency. Even EXIFTOOL shows 258 BitsPerSample : 8 8 8 So the transparency is there in some hidden way that only Photoshop can read...

Possible bug -annotate IM 6 and 7 OSX Sierra

. The following command gives errors of two types depending upon version. It works in IM 7.0.7.28, but fails afterwards up to and including IM 7.0.7.34 and IM 6.9.9.46. (not sure how far back in IM 6 it goes). magick -size 600x200 xc:none -font Impact -pointsize 50 -fill white -stroke black -strokew...

Re: How can I make labels from filenames in batch?

Use -gravity southwest rather than -gravity northwest. Your syntax is in the wrong order, though IM 6 is rather forgiving. But IM 7 is not. Also as I said before for IM 7, do not use magick convert. Use magick, only, unless you really want IM 7 to call and use IM 6. Try for %%F in (Front Covers\*.pn...

Re: How can I make labels from filenames in batch?

I do not know Windows, but in IM 7, just use magick, not magick convert. As best I can see, all you are doing is creating the text image. You have not composited it over the background image. You are also using -caption. That writes to meta data. You probably want caption: or label:. Just a guess, b...
