Re: How to include a loop instead of several clone/crop commands

try the following: The ( ... ) means do it in a subshell and do a for loop to crop every coord into one multipage miff in memory Then I pipe the result to a new convert and put the miff from stdin into mpr:img in-memory and delete the stdin image. Then I use the mpr:img to append the pairs and then ...

Re: How to include a loop instead of several clone/crop commands

What is your scheme for organizing the output? What should happen if the larger 4 images are not the same size or if you have more smaller or larger images? How did you determine the -repage coordinates? Please clarify enough so we understand what your goal actually is.

Re: How to include a loop instead of several clone/crop commands

You will likely have to parse the list in a for loop and then do the convert multiple times saving to temp files and then after the loop do the flattening. In unix, this can be done using a subshell and saving to miff:, then pipe the results from the subshell to a convert to flatten them. That way y...

magick x.png x.jpg Fails:
That is odd, since you do have both PNG and JPG installed in your delegates.

EXR requires the OpenEXR delegate library. See http://www.openexr.com

Re: IM 7.0.8-13 reports incorrect "-version" number

I can confirm the same on my Mac OSX for IM 7.0.8.13 -- it reports 7.0.8.12.

But the legacy version 6.9.10.13 reports correctly.

Re: Confused about median

The virtual pixel setting is used to extend the image at the borders, so that the edge pixels have values next to them so that each edge pixel can be in the center of a neighborhood. See, for example, https://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/courses/compsci373s1c/PatricesLectures/Image%20Filtering_2up.pdf for ...

Re: Confused about median

It replaces only the center pixel in each 3x3 neighborhood with its median. So when the command finishes, every pixel will have been replace by the median in its 3x3 region surrounding that pixel. This is the way most regional statistics operators work. For the mean, each pixel will be replaced by t...

Re: Converting Photoshop PDF with Transparency

I played with your file in Photoshop CC 2018. If I save it again and turn off "Preserve Photoshop Editing Capabilities" in the PDF Save dialog box, then it seems to work fine when I convert to PNG using Ghostscript 9.24.

Re: Confused about median

With even dimensions, I do not thing there will be any averaging done for the middle two. IM probably takes either the first or the second of the two middle values. Looks like from your tests, it takes the second. Try with odd number of values and see what happens. Only the middle value is replaced ...

Re: convert unable to read font

If you don't specify a font what one is used by default? I think it relies on the system default font, but am not 100% sure of that. In the font family documentation https://imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#family it seems to say it is Arial. But that only works if you have arial on ...

It has been this way since IM 6 first started. But IM 6 is forgiving. IM 7 is not. See https://imagemagick.org/Usage/basics/#why
