Re: imagemagick get stuck while converting a pdf to jpg

When I open the PDF in Adobe reader, it throws an error saying "the dimensions of this page are out of range page content might be truncated". Seems to me that this points to the PDF file. Post a link to it and the developers can check further. ___________________________ Please, always provide you...

Re: Uninstall Imagemagick from Source?

I do not think that is true for Linux or Mac. But thanks, snibgo, for the correction for Windows.

Re: Uninstall Imagemagick from Source?

They are included with the binaries that the Imagemagick developers compile. But they do not have access to every vintage Linux, Windows has too many variations and for Mac, it only allows one version at a time. The Imagemagick developers have one or more computers of Linux, Windows and Mac, but the...

Re: Image Sizing on Screen

Depends upon what you consider reasonable quality. There are many filters that can be used with -resize or -distort resize for minimizing images and keep artifacts to a minimum. See https://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/filter/ https://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/filter/nicolas/ __________________________...

Re: How to stretch an image non-linearly in one dimension (à la Gopro Superview)

I have created a Unix Bash shell script to do this effect. It is called xpand. See my link below. It also includes and optional protect region whose scale will be preserved during the expansion process. The script implements this as a 1D (one-sided) fx expression according to the following format: I...

Re: Loop/Repeat/For in ImageMagick?

If you add -scene 1 and use %s rather than %p, then you won't need the extra dummy image at the beginning. For example convert lena.jpg barn.jpg monet2.jpg mandril3.jpg -scene 1 -gravity center -pointsize 18 -annotate +0+0 "Number %s" test.gif Starts with Number 1 rather than Number 0 in the output ...

Re: Convert PDF to TIFF large file size

From https://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#quality where it says: "For the MIFF and TIFF image formats, quality/10 is the Zip/BZip compression level, which is 0 (worst but fastest compression) to 9 (best but slowest). It has no effect on the image appearance, since the compress...

Re: Need Help on Feather effect

Try this Imagemagick command line. Adjust the blur level as desired. Sorry I do not know Imagick equivalents. convert 5ba0fadb35c3b.png -channel a -blur 0x7 -level 50x100% +channel result.png ______________________ Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions, since synt...

Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions, since syntax may differ. Also provide your exact command line and if possible your images. Re: Difference between win/ubuntu and OS X... yeah..

IM 6.9.7.4 was right at the time Imagemagick was undergoing some serious changes to colorspace and grayscale. I would not trust result from that version. Sorry but I am confused with your images. Can you post your individual input and output images (not screen snaps) so we can test properly. Did you...

Re: Loop/Repeat/For in ImageMagick?

In Unix, you can do subshell processing to do what you need. That is indicated by the parens above and below the code. You basically do a loop over the previous created MPC file (memory mapped), which is fast reading multiple times, inside the subshell. You save to miff:- and then pipe the result to...

Re: Compare two images without a region

You can do that with a mask image in IM 7 only. See viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31053.

You can upload image to some free hosting service that will not change the format such as dropbox.com and put the URLs here. This forum does not allow image upload directly.
