Re: Cannot convert png to tiled jpeg2000

How do you know it was not tiled? From the documentation: Save a tiled JPEG-2000 image: convert wizard.png 'wizard.png[512x512]' That makes no sense to me. The bracket notation is typically for input cropping. But this may be something special for jp2. Nevertheless, according to https://en.wikipedia...

Re: Possible bug bad xmp profile

OK. Using IM 7.0.8.50 beta on Mac OSX Sierra, I get magick -verbose -colorspace sRGB GRID2.ai x.jpg /tmp/magick-26349PRQ1Mad413F51 PNG 1984x1984 1984x1984+0+0 8-bit sRGB 175889B 0.560u 0:00.166 GRID2.ai AI 1984x1984 1984x1984+0+0 16-bit sRGB 175889B 0.360u 0:00.101 [ghostscript library 9.25] -sstdou...

Re: DICOM file detected incorrectly on versions above 6.9.7

I think the OP wants to be able to reproduce his first image at the top. I cannot seem to reproduce that. Is there some way?

Re: DICOM file detected incorrectly on versions above 6.9.7

That stretches the dynamic range, but the output does not match that of 6.9.7-4 and the top image in the OP's original post.

Possible bug bad xmp profile

In ImageMagick 6.9.10.49 or 7.0.8.49 and GS 9.25 and libjpeg 90, I am getting a report of a bad xmp profile when converting an AI file to JPG. If I convert to png, I do not get that error. I am not sure if this is an ImageMagick issue or a Ghostscript one. AI file: http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_te...

I can reproduce the issue - works with IM 6.9.7.4 but not 6.9.10.49

Re: Insert clipping path

Code: Select all

I am not an expert on clip paths. But I do not think IM can import clip paths from svg. As far as I know, it only exports clip paths.

Re: Problem with Group 4 compression on B&W TIFF

Your image does have nearly alternating black and white pixels. Zoom in and you will see that. So the comment about group4 having larger compressions sizes for that situation makes sense for your image.

Try reprocessing without dithering.

I have heard issue with both GS 9.26 and 9.27. So downgrade to 9.23-9.25 as suggested by snibgo.

Re: Problem with Group 4 compression on B&W TIFF

If you upsample with bicubic, it will interpolate new colors. So how is it that it is labeled as bilevel?

Re: Centering mixed size images when creating animated GIF

Proper syntax reads the input images before doing any resize.

Try

Code: Select all

convert -delay 400 -dispose background *.jpg -resize 668x476 -gravity Center -background white -extent 668x476 -loop 0 ani.gif

Re: Cut image in horizontal slices

Please do not post in two places. Try this with the image you posted. Put it in a folder (I called it testing). In the future, I suggest you do not put spaces in file names. It just makes it harder to process. You must then put quotes about the name. I make no guarantees that the blur value of 0x4 a...
