Multi layer EXR files conversion

Post by f2b »

Hi,
Can i expect imagemagick to support Multi layer EXR files conversion?

I wish to be able to read All channel/Layers presents in an EXR file. I can already do this when i read TIF files...

And i wish to be able to write layers in an EXR file, the same way i can already do this with imagemagick, in a PSD File...

Such features are they on the road map?

Thanks!

Does OpenEXR support that? ImageMagick uses OpenEXR to read and write those files. If OpenEXR supports it, have you tried to read a multi-layer EXR file? Currently, I believe ImageMagick only supports "half" format (16-bit) EXR files. But I do not know if it supports multi-layer half formats.
