Yet another steganography assistance thread

Post by Jinxed »

Greetings.

I am at a final phase of crypto game and I require assistance, as game organisator suddenly gave us something colpletely out of my field.

The image: http://i66.tinypic.com/2hyfafr.png
The fished out clue:
Steganography it is. The fourth phase requires understanding about colors and formats. Third party tools might help but that can be done with simple editing tools. (And/or programming languages)

The fourth phase wasn't made by any special tool.
What I discovered on my own so far:
Nothing interesting in HEX, but visually there is something peculiar happening to leftmost column of pixels.

The reward: Well, that would be not very kind of me not to mention that I am going to be rewarded for this. Current prize pool is in-game currency on a roleplay server and I don't mind sharing if you are into that sort of thing. Neither do I mind sharing the credit for work done.

Well, as mentioned before - this is not my field and I have absolutely no idea how to work with images.
Any assistance would be welcome.
