problem loading jpeg image from blob

Post by chenzhaoxu »

I got Imagemagick 6.6.4 installed on fedora 14, 64 bits system. And I got the delegate libraries installed as well. I can convert images in command line to jpg format. However, in my code, I read an image from python as a string and pass it to the blob. Then read the image from blob, the code generate an run time error:

Magick: no decode delegate for this image format `' @ error/blob.c/ImageToBlob/1470

The following are my code:

Code: Select all

convert_image(const string & data)
{
	Image magic_image;
	//magic_image.magick("JPEG");
	Blob blob( data.c_str(), data.length() );
	magic_image.read(blob);
}
the string data is from a python code,
data = open('temp.jpg', 'rb').read()

No matter what image format I use, the above code always generate the error: no decode delegate for this image format `' @ error/blob.c/ImageToBlob/1470

But I am sure the delegate libraries are installed.

Re: problem loading jpeg image from blob

Post by Tirisfal »

Does anyone found out what the reason may be? I have very similar problem.

Also may it be the case that using newest ImageMagick version is incompatible to older one? I have an old project which uses it and I installed the newest Image Magick and have this error.

Thanks for all responses beforehand
