You reverted the configure.ac patch.

Could I know why ? Can I improve this patch ?

Your patch is fine, except it broke our release scripts. It also broke the RPM spec (document path changed, make rpm). It will take several hours to adapt the release scripts to your configure.ac patch and so far we have not found the time to get that done.
