Since this is a recent change, I have not heard about any issues so far using it with ImageMagick. That is covered in the Ghostscript 9.50 release notes https://ghostscript.com/doc/9.50/Histor ... ersion9.50. Its a recognition of the fact that the new file security is a moderately major change. Even though the device and calling APIs are unchanged there are new controls and changes in behaviour (SAFER is the default for example) which we thought were better flagged up by a version jump. It is conceivable that the change causes an ImageMagick problem though I hope not; we did seek feedback and as a ended up doing 4 release candidates. – KenS

FYI: I found that Ghostscript has had a major jump in version number recently. This is what I was told when inquired why the jump from 9.27.
