IM studion vs. 6.72 not MsnTv/WebTv compatible anymore

This saddens me, because users on the MSNtv platforms have no
download possibilities and relied on IM to help them with their
imaging.
The problems that we now have with IM's new 6.72 are too
numerous to mention.
On the very first page:

META:none

or

META: transparent

results into EXCEPTION no such...blahblahblah...
ERROR PAGE.

SO SAD.

Version 6.65 still worked and some IM portals still use it; probably for that reason.

:(

You must set the Format along with Meta or you will get an exception. Try setting Format to 'gradient' and Meta to 'black-yellow'. Now press view. It works as expected (you get a radient that starts black and transitions to yellow).

If you have any other problems, we are willing to fix them but you must bring them to our attention and you must post on how to reproduce the problem. Unless we can reproduce a particular problem, we generally cannot fix it.

I am sorry sir that doesn't make sense.
I do know how to make a gradient.

I was trying to get a transparent canvas.

So I entered the size
+
meta: transparent
+
Format: .xc

In the past this rendered a transparent back for any
further image manipulation. It seems to have
a cork on it now.

Any clues why?

We tried your instructions and we got a 320x240 transparent image as expected. We're using http://www.imagemagick.org/MagickStudio ... Studio.cgi. We enter 320x240 for Size, xc as the format, and none in the Meta field. Next we press the view button and then the Identify tab. We see attributes of 320x240 and 76800 transparent pixels.

I did the same as Magick and got a transparent result.

Perhaps you need to use the link he provided rather than one of the other versions elsewhere.
