Upload fails with Mac jpeg

I have seen several instances where a jpeg that originated on a Mac caused the $image->Read method to crash. The image looks just fine on a PC, and if you load it in an editor and save it to disk, it will then work perfectly. I'm reading from a file handle on Centos 5.5, and every other type of file works great, including jpgs. I will be happy to send the file to anyone who has the tools to figure out why this happens.
