Looking for someone with lots of IM experience on the iPhone

I have a iPhone app that uses IM to apply some looks to photos. Currently the resolution is very slow for these effects (200x200) but the app still suffers from slow response and crashing. Are there any ninjas here available for freelance work that can help whip the app into shape? Maybe there are some tips and tricks that the last developer didn't know about?
