Problem with "gradient:" in v7.0.9-0

Post by GeeMack » 2019-10-26T15:14:57-07:00

Using ImageMagick 7.0.9-0 Q16 x64 HDRI on Windows 10. There appears to be a problem with "gradient:" and "radial-gradient:" when used without specifying any colors. Trying to make a white-black radial gradient with this command...

Code: Select all

magick -size 100x100 radial-gradient: out.png
The image doesn't get created, and it prints this warning...

Code: Select all

magick: unrecognized color `' @ warning/color.c/QueryColorCompliance/2250.magick: no images for write '-write' 'out.png' at CLI arg 4 @ error/operation.c/CLINoImageOperator/4816.
If I specify the colors like in this command...

Code: Select all

magick -size 100x100 radial-gradient:red-blue out.png
... it creates the expected result.

The problem occurs with both "gradient:" and "radial-gradient:".

In my most recent version, ImageMagick 7.0.8-67 Q16 x64, the gradient canvasses were created as expected.

I can confirm on IM 7.0.9.0 Q16 Mac OSX Sierra and on IM 6.9.10.69

Code: Select all

magick -size 100x100 radial-gradient: out.png
magick: unrecognized color `' @ warning/color.c/QueryColorCompliance/2250.
magick: no images for write '-write' 'out.png' at CLI arg 4 @ error/operation.c/CLINoImageOperator/4816.

Using ImageMagick 7.0.9-2 Q16 x64 HDRI on Windows 10, this issue appears to be resolved.
