Unable to read PICT files

Post by Bob.m.carver » 2019-12-04T12:20:50-07:00

I am using a mac running Mojave 10.14.6. I installed ImageMagic via brew. I am trying to process some very old 'PICT' version2 images. When I try to process them with ImageMagic I receive the message "magick: no decode delegate for this image format `' @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/562."
When I run "magick -list format" I see the line.
PICT* PICT rw- Apple Macintosh QuickDraw/PICT
So I am confused. The image files do not have an extension but I am assuming that Imagemagic is able to determine the format type from looking at the file structure. The images files are not corrupt since I can view them with other apps

I am assuming that there needs to be a delegate format converter for PICT and brew did not install it. I am not sure what I should do to install a delegate. What should I download ? And do I need to rebuild from source ?
